We live in the mountains of Nevada, specifically the Shellcreek Mountain Range at 6500 feet, four hours north of Las Vegas. We raise Suffolk Sheep and Pembroke Welch Corgi's.
Why Corgi's? Our first Corgi, a Tri female got us hooked. Our next Corgi was a red and white male, Porter. Now we were really hooked. Corgi's are just the coolest dogs. They are VERY smart, affectionate, and grin all the time when they are happy. They are easy to train and generally love people. They are energetic, love to eat, walk, run, swim, and play. They are also very loyal and protective, although they are not fighters. With the proper training, they are just a wonderful companion, traveler, friend, and family member.
We just completed a new heated and air conditioned kennel. We exercise our Corgi's minimally, three times per day; two long runs and one combined play period with swimming, toys, treats, agility training, and lots of hugs, pats, and atta boy's.
